Kaneiko Straight Low-Speed Dental Handpiece for HP Burs

The Kaneiko straight low-speed dental handpiece is designed for controlled cutting, prosthetic adjustment, laboratory trimming and compatible chairside procedures using HP burs. Its 1:1 direct-drive transmission transfers the connected air motor speed directly to the bur, supporting stable operation at speeds of up to 40,000 rpm. Both Model S and Model S100 feature a stainless steel body, turn-chuck bur retention, single-point internal water spray, Clean Head System and Anti-Heat System. Choose Model S with fibre-optic light transmission or Model S100 without light to match your clinical and laboratory setup.

Model S with Fibre-Optic Illumination

Model S features fibre-optic light transmission to improve visibility around the HP bur and working area. It is designed for chairside and laboratory procedures requiring controlled low-speed rotation, internal water delivery and illumination from a compatible fibre-optic dental air motor.

The 1:1 direct-drive transmission supports speeds of up to 40,000 rpm, depending on the connected air motor. Its straight configuration is suitable for compatible prosthetic adjustments, laboratory trimming and procedures requiring long HP burs.

Model S100 without Light Transmission

Model S100 provides the same 1:1 transmission, stainless steel body, turn-chuck system, internal water spray and HP bur compatibility without fibre-optic illumination. It is suitable for chairside and compatible MOS workflows where light transmission through the handpiece is not required.

External operatory or laboratory lighting should be used when additional visibility is needed.

1:1 Direct-Drive Transmission

The 1:1 transmission transfers the rotational speed produced by the connected dental air motor directly to the HP bur without increasing or reducing it. Depending on the motor setting, the handpiece can operate at speeds of up to 40,000 rpm.

This direct-drive configuration supports controlled bur movement during compatible chairside adjustment, trimming and laboratory procedures.

Single-Point Internal Water Spray

Both Model S and Model S100 feature an internal water pathway that directs cooling water through the handpiece toward the HP bur and working area.

Before operating the handpiece, confirm that the water channel is clear and that cooling water reaches the active portion of the bur effectively.

Fibre-Optic and Non-Optic Options

Model S transmits light from a compatible fibre-optic dental air motor toward the working area. This can support bur positioning and visibility during chairside procedures.

Model S100 is a non-optic configuration suitable for systems where illumination is provided by the dental unit, operatory light or laboratory lighting.

Stainless Steel Body

Both models feature a stainless steel body designed to support durable clinical handling and repeated processing. The smooth surface also supports routine cleaning and sterilisation according to the recommended handpiece care instructions.

Turn-Chuck Bur Retention

The turn-chuck mechanism secures compatible HP burs inside the straight handpiece. Before operation, insert the bur to the correct depth and confirm that the chuck is fully tightened.

Do not operate the handpiece with a loose, bent, damaged or incorrectly fitted bur.

HP Bur Compatibility

  • HP straight-handpiece burs
  • Standard bur shank diameter: Ø 2.35 mm
  • Compatible bur length: approximately 44.5–51.0 mm
  • Use only burs approved for the selected rotational speed
  • Confirm that the bur is fully inserted and securely retained before use

Air Motor Compatibility

Model S and Model S100 are designed for connection to compatible dental air motors. Before purchasing, confirm the motor connection, maximum operating speed, water-delivery configuration and fibre-optic capability.

Model S requires a light-transmitting air motor for fibre-optic illumination. Model S100 can be used with a compatible non-optic air motor configuration.

Recommended Clinical and Laboratory Applications
