Surgical Straight Low Speed Dental Handpiece for HP Burs
Surgical Straight Low Speed Dental Handpiece for HP Burs
The Kaneiko surgical straight low-speed dental handpiece is designed for controlled cutting, bone trimming and compatible oral surgical procedures using HP burs. Its 1:1 direct-drive transmission transfers the connected air motor speed directly to the bur, supporting operation at up to 40,000 rpm. Both Model SX and Model SX100 feature a stainless steel body, turn-chuck bur retention, single-point external water spray, Clean Head System and Anti-Heat System. Choose Model SX with fibre-optic light transmission or Model SX100 without light to match your clinical air-motor setup.

Model SX with Fibre-Optic Illumination
Model SX features fibre-optic light transmission to improve visibility around the HP bur and surgical working area. Its single-point external water spray directs cooling fluid toward the bur during compatible cutting and bone-trimming procedures. The fibre-optic function requires a compatible light-transmitting dental air motor.
Model SX100 without Light Transmission
Model SX100 provides the same 1:1 direct-drive transmission, stainless steel body, turn-chuck system and external water spray without fibre-optic illumination. It is suitable for air-motor systems where illumination through the handpiece is not required.
1:1 Direct-Drive Transmission
The 1:1 transmission transfers the rotational speed produced by the connected dental air motor directly to the HP bur. Depending on the motor setting, the handpiece can operate at speeds of up to 40,000 rpm for controlled low-speed cutting and compatible surgical procedures.
Single-Point External Water Spray
Both Model SX and Model SX100 feature a single-point external water spray nozzle. The external irrigation system directs cooling water or compatible irrigation fluid toward the HP bur and working surface during cutting.
Before operation, check the position of the external spray nozzle and confirm that irrigation reaches the active portion of the bur effectively.
Fibre-Optic and Non-Optic Options
Model SX transmits light from a compatible fibre-optic dental air motor toward the working area. Model SX100 is a non-optic configuration intended for clinical systems where illumination is provided by the dental unit or external operatory light.
Stainless Steel Body
Both models feature a stainless steel body designed to support durability, stable handling and repeated clinical processing. Cleaning, lubrication and sterilisation should be performed according to the handpiece care instructions.
Turn-Chuck Bur Retention
The turn-chuck mechanism secures compatible HP burs inside the straight handpiece. Before operation, confirm that the chuck is fully tightened and that the bur is inserted to the correct depth.
HP Bur Compatibility
- HP straight-handpiece burs
- Standard bur shank diameter: Ø 2.35 mm
- Compatible bur length: approximately 44.5–51.0 mm
- Use only burs approved for the selected rotational speed and procedure
- Confirm that the bur is straight, undamaged and securely retained before use
Air Motor Compatibility
Model SX and Model SX100 are designed for connection to compatible dental air motors. Before purchasing, confirm the motor connection, maximum operating speed, water-delivery configuration and fibre-optic capability.
Model SX requires a light-transmitting air motor for fibre-optic illumination. Model SX100 can be used with a compatible non-optic air motor configuration.
Recommended Clinical Applications
